Skip Tracing has become a lot easier with modern technology. Today many investigative databases are available. Only available to law firms and private investigators they make the task somewhat easy.
No longer does a private investigator need to canvas neighborhoods. Contacting friends or relatives of the subject is a thing of the past. The days of the old fashioned gumshoe are history.
Databases for licensed investigators and attorneys…
The databases described below are accurate and comprehensive. Remember you do need to be a licensed private investigator or an attorney to gain access.
TLO – This database is part of TransUnion and offers a wide array of investigative information. There is a required monthly minimum. An onsite inspection of your office is mandatory.
Tracers – Tracers offers solutions for legal professionals at a very reasonable rate. There is a required monthly minimum. No on site inspection required.
idiCORE – A very thorough investigative database for legal professionals. To date I have not had a chance to try this database. One nice point to remember is that they do offer a free trial to test their services.
Databases for others…
Batch Skip Tracing – This database does batch skip tracing at an extremely reasonable rate of $.20 each… That’s right 20 cents each! Most noteworthy there is a 50 subject order minimum. I have read some positive reviews about this company.

What if a database does not find my subject?
Sometimes punching in a name or social security number into a database does not work. Many times not enough information is available on the subject.
